Internals of the Adobe ColdFusion Server

Oct 01, 2008

At this year's CFUnited, the best session I attended hands down was one given on the last regular day of the conference by Elliott Sprehn from TeraTech called "Internals of the ColdFusion Server". This may sound like a simple presentation about the underlining Java or JVM, but it was far more indepth. Elliott did a lot of detective work to discover how Adobe's ColdFusion server actually works internally. If you ever wanted to know how ColdFusion server processes a cfml or cfc page or how the tags actually work. This session showed you all of that and also how, with this insight, you could hack the tags to implement new functionality.

Well, if you did missed it. Elliott will be presenting it again at the ColdFusion meetup group tomorrow on Oct 2 at 6pm EST over an Adobe Connect session. It's a really insightful presentation and I can't possibly recommend it enough. The information on the meeting can be found at http://coldfusion.meetup.com/17/calendar/8859145/
